Dear Sr. Assunta and the Suore Missionarie di S. Pietro Claver,
On behalf of our congregation and the Chad-Cameroon delegation, I extend my deepest gratitude for your generous support. Your kindness has brought immense relief to the SFS Boys’ Home, allowing us to complete two vital projects that have significantly improved the lives of the children in our care.
With your assistance, we successfully installed a solar power system, ensuring a stable and reliable electricity supply. This project included new solar panels, lithium batteries, and a power converter, designated separately for lighting, electrical outlets, and the motor pump. To enhance durability and security, we also installed a cooling system for the batteries, a protective iron door for the solar room, and a chest freezer to store food supplies, reducing our need for frequent trips to the city.
Additionally, we took steps to improve the educational opportunities for our children by establishing a small library. Despite challenges in sourcing affordable books, we were able to procure essential materials from N’Djamena, providing valuable learning resources. We also purchased a shelf as a temporary storage solution while we work toward expanding the collection further.
We remain profoundly grateful for your unwavering support. Please know that you are always in our prayers, and during the Holy Eucharist, we remembered your kindness and offered prayers for the departed Sisters Lydia, Susan, and Adriana. May the Lord bless you abundantly and continue to guide your noble mission.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Fr. Robin Joy Karumathy, MSFS
Director, SFS Boys’ Home
